TC's
Accident!
During the later pat of this ride we were headed over the Damen
bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River. This is a
new bridge that has only been open for about a month at this
point. This bridge is a real departure from most other Chicago
River bridges. Firstly it does not go up and down and secondly
it has no huge superstructure. Unfortunately it also had no
light at this time of this very unfortunate incident. While
a group of about 60 riders were trying to get over the bridge
this aggro driver tried to pass us on the right. We were all
merging to the right so we could cross the bridge and this guy
whipped over into the curb lane and then gunned it passed a
few riders and then went right into TC's new bike. Luckily TC
was OK and there was an officer right behind us.
