The Caged!
The Chicago June Critical Mass was met with beautiful temperatures and clogged streets due to the Taste of Chicago
It would not be June in Chicago without high heat and humidity.
Just the thing the autobound loves.
Dead Car!
Liz, a new rider from San Francisco
It seemed as though there were lots of new riders on this Critical Mass. I had the opportunity to ask a few people whom I did not recognize and they told me that yes it was there first mass or that they had ridden with us last summer and that this was their first mass of this summer.

I of course assured these fine people that yes indeed we were riding in January and February. A couple of them looked sad as if they had missed something special.
A couple of others just looked at me like I was even crazier than I am.

Bad Driver, Bad Bad Driver!
A Critical Mass would not be the same without at least one driver nearly killing a few riders. This one made the same left turn we were making...only she made it from the right lane across three lanes of traffic passing bicyclists on the right in the parking lane
I caught up with her and merely asked if it was really necessary to risk so many people's lives just to get behind another car at another stop light. With a simple "Fuck You" she assured me that it was necessary. If you can't tell by the photo this was a big BMW and it had Wisconsin plates on it.
Yes those are dents on her precious car
It made me feel really good that someone else overheard the conversation I had with this driver. Craig told me he thought that I was courteous and calm.
Travis' last Chicago Hold Up
