Since it had been many months since Ed, David and I had had
the opportunity to ride together, we left the park and headed
onto the lakefront to spin a few more miles before it got dark.
David had just arrived from the pacific northwest and was looking
forward to sharing the bounty.
After living in New Mexico for 23 years I have become very
discriminating as to what constitutes a great sunset. It must
include a large palette, foreground and midground should be
present to offset the requisite big sky. Lastly and possibly
most important good friends.
Certainly even my new camera does not do this sunset justice.
I would give it a rating of K6 on the Kopald scale of 1-10.
That really means it was an Illinois 10
