Our November ride started out with a really
good size crowd. The weather could not have been nicer even
if it had been summer! Chicago go figure. We did have at
least one map. I was asked at 11:00 on Thursday night if
we were going to ride my Freeway Fright route. I explained
that it would only work with some day light or the drivers
could not see us. So we did have a ride that ended at a
restaurant in Pilsen. I for one tried to steer the Mass
towards the Magnificent Mile. On the Shoppers Special ride
earlier in the day it was observed that the streets were
packed with impressionable eyes. To many of us this seemed
like a very logical place to Critical Mass. It seems as
though most in our group are more interested in a destination
than the journey so we ended up being shanghaied (again)
of into the hinterlands. I truly feel that we could do just
fine with no map at all. Xerocracy on the fly if you will.
Many of us felt that we missed a golden opportunity to spread
the word to the Autobound.
