As Ed and I started to make plans to get out of town early on Saturday everything feel apart. First the hitch part that I had been waiting on for two week still had not arrived. I called the dealer and they assured me that they had shipped it...the very same day I asked. Thanks to the generosity of my art director, Ron, he allowd me to get out of work a bit early on Friday to try get U-haul to install a hitch. It took them about three hours longer than they told me So we lost all of Friday evening. We had hoped to get out of town early on Saturday but as things would have it we had lots of little things crop up that prevented us from getting out of town when we wanted. I still had to teach Ed how to drive a standard transmission car! First the rack really did not fit on the car and then the lock that is supposed to hold it on broke then the fix did not work. All this time Ed and I are out in the 100 degree heat. By about 6:00 I was suffering heat exhaustion and went to bed about 6:30 and slept for about 10 hours. I woke up about 3:00 on Sunday and woke Ed up and we hit the road.
