Bike Week 1999 looked rainy at the onset Monday morning. But without fail many riders turned out. Lots of regular Mass riders and more that I do not see on Critical Mass rides. We all spent time handing out the gospel on brightly colored paper. This year the city was handing out Odwalla bars and juice. The juice was exceptional. The bars are also very good. I grabbed enough for a week but then passed off a couple at work to fellow riders.

This year the Mayor held his ride to Hyde Park on the Friday preceding the Monday festivities that kick off bike week. Does that give you an indication as The City's idea of what a week is. More on this later.
